Patricia Ann (Pat) Modugno

Patricia Ann (Pat) Modugno passed away peacefully on the evening of Saturday, July 31st surrounded by her family. She joins her husband Edmond, who passed away in 2018 in Heaven, where they are most likely sitting in the kitchen, drinking coffee and reading the newspaper.

Pat was born in the Bronx on December 1st, 1948 to Veronica and John Dowd. She married Edmond Modugno in 1969. They lived for many years in Peekskill, NY before moving to Dutchess County, where she resided until her passing.

She is survived by her son Christopher, his wife Trisha, grandsons Christopher and Patrick, son Michael and his partner, Marilyn, brothers John Dowd (Carolyn) and Joseph Dowd, sisters Fran Mazzacano (Paul) and Kathy Dowd, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Pat was a very loving, caring, and selfless wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was always concerned for people and would never forget a name or face. She was a great homemaker and cook, and would always make sure everyone was well-fed. She enjoyed reading, movies, game shows, puzzles, Elvis Presley, and spending time with her family, especially her grandsons.

Calling hours will be held at Delehanty Funeral Home in Wappinger Falls, NY on Thursday, August 5th from 4-7pm. Interment will follow on Friday, August 6 at 11 AM at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley alongside her beloved husband, Ed. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
