In Loving Memory of Robert G. Auchincloss
July 23, 2015 - Ten Years Later
Ten years ago today, Robert Auchincloss departed this world. July 23rd is also my grandmother´s birthday-a woman who was, in so many ways, my true mother. That shared date has always felt like more than coincidence. It feels like a quiet thread linking two lives that shaped me with love, intellect, and spirit.
Robert lived with remarkable purpose and generosity-an adventurer, a thinker, an educator, and above all, a deeply human soul. His life touched continents, communities, and countless lives, but what remains with us most is his sincere effort to make every interaction meaningful. His motto, "Keep on Truckin'," still reminds us to move forward with heart, curiosity, and courage.
Today, I honor him-and her-with deep gratitude. May their spirits continue to guide us in living fully and loving well.

To Bonnie, et all. I just reread Bob's auto-obituary for the umpteenth time, and remain amazed at all he did, all he was, and all he experienced. A man for all seasons, indeed. I am grateful for the opportunity to have known him.

Bob was an enormous presence in the Hudson Valley, died on July 23, 2015. His life was build on "Keep on Truckin - never give up experiences and adventures. He believed that If you get a chance to do something, try it; bring to it the best you have. It can lead you to remarkable places, connections with great people, adventures and personal satisfaction.
