Donald Ruby Obituary
Donald Dean Ruby passed away on Friday March 5, 2021 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease.
Donald was born December 2, 1941 in Fairfield, Iowa, the son of John and Elma Ruby. He met his wife, Marylyn, in Maryville, Missouri and they married on January 19, 1970 in St. Joseph, Missouri. They later moved to Iowa City, Iowa to raise their two daughters Tamera and Tina. He was a devoted family man and loved watching sports, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Leland, John and James and his twin sister Constance. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Marylyn, his daughters Tamera Quinn and Tina (David) Steveley, his five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family will be having a private ceremony and request that memorial contributions be made to the Iowa City Animal Shelter.
