Erna Wolf Obituary

Erna Mae Wolf, 76, of Iowa City, died Monday, September 21, 2009 at Mercy Hospital. Memorial Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2009 at Parkview Church, 15 Foster Road, Iowa City. Pastor Steve Rachke will officiate. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Pine Hill Cemetery, 1530 E 39th St., Davenport, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mercy Hospital Foundation in Erna's name. Erna found great comfort in her strong personal relationship with Jesus and rejoiced in the knowledge that she would be united with Christ.
Erna was born on March 17, 1933 in Davenport, IA to Ernest and Mae (Kuhl) Kroeger. She was raised in Eldridge, IA and graduated from Davenport Central High School. She married Richard Wolf on August 9, 1952 in Davenport.
Erna was a member of Grandview Baptist Church, Parkview Church, a 4H Leader in Scott County, Bible Study Fellowship, Senior Huddle Bible Study and a Mercy Hospital Volunteer.
Erna is survived by her children; Susan Tank (Jack) and their children Marisa, Alecia, Christopher of Iowa City, Krista Wolf (Gary Nardi) and their children Chauncey, Melina, Wyatt of Hudson, IL, Scott Wolf (Darcy) and their children Alexandria, Nathan, Haley, Logan of New Liberty, IA, four siblings; Lura Kappeler (Wayne) of Durant, IA, Gen Brown (Bob) Bixenman) of Wever, IA, Kathleen Betchkal (John) of Shaker Hts, OH, Kurt Kroeger (Judy) of Long Grove, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother David Kroeger.
The family would like to thank Mercy Hospital Staff for their compassionate care for Erna these last two weeks.
