Albert Kovac Obituary
Lake Worth, FL: Albert Rudolph Kovac Jr., 69, Lake Worth, FL, formerly of Binghamton, NY, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning, May 2, 2014. He is predeceased by his infant brother, Robert Kovac; father, Albert R Kovac Sr.; mother, Romaine Buzinky Kovac; and brother-in-law, Steve (Butch) Maruscak. He is survived by his wife, Ingrid Abreu and her children, Nestor Abreu and Ingrid Abreu; his daughters, Christine Kovac-Thomas (Bryan), Barbara Hadamik (Bill), Margaret Kovac (Jim); and son, Thomas Kovac (Erik) and their mother, Constance Cawley Kovac; nine grandchildren, Adrian (Jess), Alexis, Dakota, Darryn, Alicia, Alex, Bill, Michael, Brianna; two great-grandchildren, Cadence and Quinton; sisters, Elaine Maruscak, Rita Drummer (Don); and brother, Richard Kovac (Christine); nine nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Per Albert's wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to the Marfan Foundation or the charity of your choice.

Dear Tom , Maggie, Barbara, and all of Al's extended family,
You had an exceptional Dad. He was one of the people at West Middle School who made everything better. Always with a smile on his face and a cheery word, he lovingly watched over me, making sure I was safe, when I stayed long hours after school to get my work done, and many times he timed it out to walk me to the front door at the end of a very long day. He also went the extra mile to make sure things were ready in the auditorium for our concerts. Kindness was his middle name. I miss him dearly, but I trust that we'll all keep his memory alive and instill his values in the next generation. <3

Mr. Kovac, With great sadness I write this knowing you are already somewhere else waiting for the rest of us. I knew you to be an incredibly good man. A hard-working man who loved his family. I want to thank you, for being the best father of any friend I ever had. I will never, ever forget the trip to Cape Cod. How in the WORLD did you ever handle Chris AND me?!? As a friend of Al's for many years I was shocked to hear of his passing. My heart goes out to all who loved him and I extend my sympathy to his family and friends. My God give you peace at this very sad time. He will always be in my memories.

I'm not very good with words when it comes to this situation. He was invincible in my eyes. And now the window to reality has shattered and our family must pick up the pieces in order to rebuild it. But there's always going to be a missing piece in that window and we will never replace it.

Mr. Kovac was such a great guy, and will be deeply missed. When I was told you were gone, I felt like I lost a piece of my life. My heart goes out to the whole family, especially Maggie, Barbara and Thomas. You guy's are like my family, and he was an awesome dad. I'm very glad I knew you Al, Emily said bye Poppy she loved you so much ever since she was alittle girl. We're all glad you were in our lives......love you always and forever :-)
