Allam Afify Obituary

Afify, Allam H.

Binghamton: On January 27, 2014, a wonderful caring father, husband, brother and friend was laid to rest. Allam H. Afify, 70, born in Cairo, Egypt passed away peacefully in loving arms. He was loved and respected by so many in Binghamton and the surrounded areas. He touched everyone he crossed paths with in a different yet special way. Family was his greatest pride. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Dawlet Abdullah and Afify Mustafa; and younger sister Nabelia Afify. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Lindsey; loving children, Omar Afify, Faisal (Kim) Afify and Sarrah (Leah) Afify-Hall, children of Jean Afify; and Adam (Tori) Afify and Tamara (Tunde) Osibote, children of Sherry Lindsey; grandchildren, Sierra, Shyann, Jonathan, Briannna, Brian, Amiah, Abby, Alex, Tayo, Avery, Joselyn and Naiim (on the way); great grandchildren, Leann and Abigail; brothers, Samir S. Afify, Mohamed M Afify, Ahmed Essam Afify; sister Saniah Afify, and many nephews and nieces that he loved dearly. Dad put everyone before himself. He was the head of every family gathering and the glue that keeps our family together. We love you and you are forever in our hearts. A service on the reflection of his life will be held on January 31, 2014 from 6:15pm-7:00pm with a dinner to follow at the Islamic Awareness Center, 74 Conklin Ave.
