Barbara M. Sabin 84, of Kirkwood, entered into everlasting life on July 29, 2017 with her family by her side. Barbara is predeceased by her parents Annie and Royal Smith; her husband Charles Sabin; and her very special cousin Wanda Swinamer. She is survived by her children Robert and Elke Sabin of Binghamton, Linda and Kurt Hetico of Vandalia, Ohio, and Charles and Vicki Sabin of Binghamton. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Erin Blalock, Courtney and Stefanie Sabin, Brent and Jesse Sabin, and Morgan and Ryan Hetico. Her great-grandchildren, Tyler, Michelle, Lily, Josh, Brady and Layla . Barb is also survived by her many loyal and trusted friends that she has come to know and cherish their friendship for many years. Barb enjoyed many activities . She was a big fan of Sunday night football and was eager to wager on her winning team. She loved her daily crossword puzzles as well as board puzzles when she wasn't playing cards, attending music events, and dinners with her many close friends at Valley View. Barb was always the life of the party and she was very proud to have that title. But her growing family was most important in her life. She was truly a dedicated Mom and Grandmother. She attended every sporting event, birthday party and graduation and loved to bring her famous potato salad. Barb will be deeply missed by her family and all who were fortunate to know her. The  family wishes to extend their gratitude to Broome Oncology, Dr Kloss, Lourdes hospital and the caring staff at Susquehanna Nursing and Rehab. Visitation will be held on Saturday August, 19, 2017 at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home Inc. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY 13904 from 10 am until 12 pm. A Memorial Service will follow at 12pm. Burial will immediately follow at Knox Cemetery in Oquaga.
