Carol Madan Obituary
Candor: After a two year period of declining health and most recently, Parkinson's disease, Carol Madan has entered Heaven on December 22 2012. Carol was born in Illinois in 1923 and moved to Vestal in 1960 after her marriage to Stanley. She was a substitute teacher in the Vestal and Binghamton school districts for many years. After that, she assisted her son John with clerical work for 30 years. Carol was a Long time member of St Andrews Church. Carol is survived by her son John and close family friends Kenny Prescott and Joyce Stewart and sister in law Eleanor Schlaretzki. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley, her brother, Ernest Schlaretzki and parents Walter and Faye Schlaretzki. The family would like to thank Joyce for the loving care she provided to Carol during this difficult period. Also, a special thanks to Kenny for the moral support. We would also like to thank all the great people at Lourdes Hospice for their care and compassion. A private service is being held at the convenience of the family. The Reverend Anthony Seel is officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider contribution to St Andrews Church W Wendell St, Endicott NY in Carol's memory.

Dear John, and Kenny
So sorry to hear of your mother's passing.
She was a real sweet lady and so proud of her boys.
When I saw her at Church in Candor I would ask how you and Kenny were doing and she always replied with a smile on her face that you were fine, and keeping busy with your various activities.
May our good Lord give you peace during this difficult time and may the good memories you shared with both your parents always put a smile on your face.
Larry and I count it a real pleasure to have known her even if it was only for a short time.
