2/3/2001 - 2/26/2012
Endicott: Our precious Danny died unexpectedly on February 26 due to an automobile accident. He is survived by his parents, Dan and Jessica Edsell; brother, Gavin; loving grandparents, Becky Folli, Terry and Vern Edsell; great-grandparents, Pete and Martha Strojny; also many aunts, uncles, cousins, a large extended family; and very close friends, Zach Gibbon and Joshua and Klay Carley, Michele Tyner. He just joined his Papa, Robert Folli, and uncle, Scott Edsell, in heaven. Dan was a fifth grade student at George F. Johnson Elementary School, Endicott. He enjoyed playing baseball and wrestling. He also loved playing his Xbox. Daniel's contagious laugh and exuberant, outgoing personality made everyone's life a little bit brighter and sweeter. Funeral Services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City, Friday at 7 p.m. The Rev. Elvin S. Murphy will officiate. Entombment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5 p.m. until time of services.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;

There isn't anything I can say to help ease your pain , but needed to send my deepest sympathy to the family . My son , Nick , will never forget Danny and the hours spent together playing Xbox . Jessica and Dan words can't express how devistated I am. Danny always had a smile on his face that could brighten up anybody's day. I am so lucky to have met you and him and was able to share in so many great memories, to this day I still laugh when I remember Danny trying to crack open nuts and shooting them through out the living room. I am so deeply saddened by the loss of your son.,
To be taken from you at such a young age makes my grief pale in comparison to the pain you are feeling.
No one knows why bad things happen to those so innocent and whose life has hardly begun. For now it will have to remain the painful mystery that it is. Losses like this can make us challenge our faith; however, this is precisely the time when our faith needs to be its strongest.
