David Battaglini Obituary
Kennesaw, GA. - David G. Battaglini, a devoted father to Emily, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at the age of 57, while in his home in Kennesaw, Georgia. He is survived by his parents Mario and Louise Battaglini, his daughter Emily Battaglini, his sister Patricia (Ralph) Garrison, his brother Joseph (Denise) Battaglini; nieces and nephews, Stephanie (Adam) Goett , Michael (Kai) Garrison, Elizabeth Garrison, Andrew Battaglini (Lacey), Jeffrey (Christine) Battaglini, James Battaglini ( Joanna) and Jenna Battaglini, great nieces and nephews, Lucy and Patrick Goett and Camilla James Battaglini, his former spouse Nadine (Murawski) Walley, and several Battaglini and Cicciarelli cousins, aunts and uncles. David was born on December 1, 1962. A graduate of Union Endicott High School (class of 1980) and Binghamton University School of Management (BA,MA 1984), David worked for ManpowerGroup as a Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist. David was an adoring father and nothing brought him more joy in life, than spending time with his daughter, Emily. They were the best of friends, and enjoyed testing their luck during the weekly poker games David ran through the company Any Two Cards. David and Emily's bond is unrivaled, she will always be her "daddy's girl" no matter how old she gets, he was pure joy in her eyes and thinking of his favorite sayings "eeeeeellloooo" and "babe is like a pig" will always put a smile on her face. He loved the simple things in life such as going for walks, sports and casinos. He will forever be remembered for his positivity, looking on the bright side of every situation, his inclusiveness, always making people feel welcome and willingness to help in any possible way. He was Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky, such a gentle soul. Making everyone laugh was his gift, he was the ultimate instigator and even though unintentional, talked loudly and never understood how to use an "inside voice", truly one of a kind. A dedicated family member and friend, he will be sadly missed by all. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of David's life will be held at a later date.

Can't believe its been 4 years. Dave and I talked almost every day sharing laughs about my ex and ragging on people. He was such a fun person and we laughed often. We probably would have been in a casino during the holidays where we had the most fun. Dave made everyone around him feel good and happy and that is the best quality anyone can have. I still miss him dearly, life is not as happy without Dave around.

Uncle David, the OG prankster and instigator. I don’t think I ever told you this, but I definitely inherited this gene and often times will think to myself “this is probably a joke my Uncle David would play” or enjoy. You loved celebrating holidays and milestones with our family and you always brought the laughs and made everyone feel at ease. You will be sorely missed. We love you and you will always be with us. We will help watch over Emily.

Dave and I were the best of friends. I met him on a flight to Las Vegas 20 years ago. We had so many great times together going to casinos and hanging out. He was such a caring great friend and always upbeat. We would talk almost daily and always had many laughs. He was my best friend but he had maybe 50 friends which shows what a great person he was. My condolences to his family and Emily. I miss him dearly.

Dave and I were close friends in Atlanta for many years. We played poker and tennis together, traveled on trips and cruises and just had great times sharing laughs and wonderful stories.
He seemed always upbeat, fun and happy, with a strong bond to his daughter Emily.
I will miss him and our friendship. My deepest condolences to the entire Battaglini family.

David was my youngest cousin on the Battaglini side. We all grew up together. It was so special to have such wonderful cousins like David. He was an instigator- but always with good fun. He was his mother's little buttercup - as we liked to tease him about that nickname. He was a great cousin, uncle, brother and son - but he was an exceptional father to Emily. He adored her. David was a great Brother-in-Law and Uncle. There was rarely a time when he wasn’t upbeat and making everyone around him laugh. He was a dedicated Father, and you knew by his actions how much he loved his daughter Emily. He always brought joy to his nieces and nephews, they looked forward to his visits from Atlanta during the holidays. While we will treasure all the wonderful times and memories of David; he will be missed more than ever by his family and friends, and the Holidays will never be the same without him.

although we are related through marriage, we were friends first back at UE. The golf team brought us together and those days at EnJoie playing with you and our teammates are unforgettable.
