David Jerauld Obituary

Jerauld, David P.

Montrose, PA: David "Duffy" Jerauld, 71, of Montrose, PA, passed away Saturday, June 22nd. David was born August 19, 1941 in South Montrose, PA to Arthur and Marion (Graham) Jerauld. On August 24, 1968 he married the former Joyce Sylvia Vernes in Milford, CT. David was a proud Marine who loved to golf and spend time with his family and friends. He always had a joke or a story to tell and he will be greatly missed ("and that's a true story"). He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Joyce (Vernes) Jerauld; daughters, Lori King, Rebecca (Andy) Klie, and Davina (Geoff) Magargal; grandchildren, Andrea and April King, Abigail and Ethan Klie, and Grant and Ashley Magargal; brothers, Lynn (Joann) and Duane (Jane); and sister, Marilyn Travis (Gary Mannisto); several aunts and uncles and many nieces, nephews, and cousins he loved. Friends may call from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday, June 27, at Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, 232 South Main St., Montrose, PA. A private burial service for immediate family will take place Friday, June 28, at the South Montrose Cemetery in South Montrose, PA.

I will never forget the day I was "taxied in" to my parking place on the flight line at MCAF New River one day in 1961. The taxi director was none other than Dave! I also remember his sense of humor, well.
