Duncan Finlayson Obituary
Duncan Kenneth Finlayson Jr. joined his beloved parents in heaven on June 13, 2017. Duncan was born to Duncan Kenneth Finlayson and Lucy Dennett Finlayson in Bronxville, NY on September 13, 1940. He is survived by his adored wife Judith Doherty Finlayson. Also left to cherish his memory are his son Nicholas Finlayson and wife Angie, along with their children Amelia, Katie and Jacob (Avoca, NY) and Judy's son Mark Doherty and his wife Rebeccah, along with their children Madison and Seneca (Whitesboro, NY).
He leaves behind his sister Lucy MacBride Finlayson Calcagni (Rye Brook, NY). He cherished his time being her "Brud" and he will be missed by his nieces and nephew and their families: L. Dennett Robertson (NY, NY), Ged Robertson and his son Quincy (Mill Valley, CA), and Chrissy Rooks, her husband Scott and their children, Charlie, Susan and Dennett (Whittakers, NC).
Duncan was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and was in the choir and served in the vestry. He also proudly served as Exalted Leader at the Elks Club in Princeton, NJ. Duncan passion was his family and he enjoyed learning about his family tree as well as being a wine connoisseur and avid camera bug.
Duncan's life will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 2:00pm at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Endicott, NY. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the church's memorial fund in his memory or to Autism Speaks in honor of his granddaughters.
