Eddie Richardson Obituary
Binghamton - Eddie Richardson 68 passed on Tuesday evening, February 13, 2018, at his home surrounded by love. He was predeceased by two sons, Thomas Richardson and John Kennedy-Richardson, a stepson, Travis Williams, and his brother Tommy Richardson.
He is survived by his mother; Vera Heard, his partner; Shirley Williams, three daughters; Lisa, Davita, Ralphalla, stepdaughter; Tracey, a son; Eddie, stepson; Terence, a cousin; Robert, nieces and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Eddie was a retired dispatcher for NYSEG after thirty-five years of dedicated service.
He was a hard worker who loved his family and playing with his grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday 2-4pm at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect Street, Binghamton.
In lieu of flowers, kindly make contributions in Eddie's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

I am sorry for your loss. I grew up with Eddie and Tommy in Homer, La. I haven't seen him in many yrs but still so sorry to hear of his passing at such an early age. I'm happy that he was such a great guy who found love and had a wonderful family. I will keep you in my prayers. May the lovely memories stay with you forever. He was always an awesome guy.

My condolences to Eddie's family....He was a wonderful person who touched the lives of many. I will never forget the day I rescued him from the little dog that was the size of his shoe that had him pinned against a house when he was a Meter Reader. Each person who worked with Eddie has a special memory of him.

So sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. He was always such a kind man, with a great sense of humor and an even greater love for his family. It's so sad that the good ones get called home so early. He really was a great fella. My dad and Eddie worked at NYSEG for years. They could always have a good laugh together about things. So Eddie when you see him, give Big Jim a shout out up there on Heaven's field. I'm sure he'd be glad to show you around. Rest in peace big guy, thanks for always being such a special person to so many.. To Eddie's family, I'm truly sorry for your loss. I hope the many special memories you have of your Dad can bring you comfort and strength throughout this difficult time. May it help you to know that so many people share in your sorrow of your loss. I remember when I first met Eddie, it was when I started dating his cousin Robert 38 years ago he is and was a kind and loving person. We all use to play spades and had a great time. We are so sorry this had to happen to a great person. Love and prayers

My deepest sympathy to Eddie's family. I always thought he was a good natured guy with a smile as big as they can be. I didn't work closely with Eddie but he had a good reputation at work and treated me and the people I worked with in an upbeat, kind way. I secretly thought of him as a Gentle Giant. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was too young to leave.

I worked with Eddie for several years at NYSEG in dispatch. Eddie was a great guy and an incredible human being. One of the qualities I admired most about Eddie was his ability to preservere in difficult situations while maintaining his sense of humor.

My heart is broken for you. I have many memories of your dad. I remember playing football with him and your mother. I caught the ball and he headed toward me and I threw it in the air and hit the ground. He was a very big guy!!!I remember when he played for the Giants he put you in his helmet Davita.
