Edith Simrell Obituary

Edith W. Simrell
of Kirkwood
Edith W. Simrell, 94, of Kirkwood, died Monday, November 10, 2008, at Willow Point Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her husband, James H. Simrell; and two brothers-in-law, Karl Schadlich and Fred Simrell. She is survived by her sister, Jane Schadlich, Chenango Bridge; a sister-in-law, Esther Simrell, Johnson City; a niece, Dr. and Mrs. Buford Rowe, Knoxville, Tenn.; a nephew, Charles Wareing, Knoxville, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Princess. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Binghamton; a retired telephone operator with the New York State Department of Labor with 34 years of service; a member of CSEA.
Funeral services will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 10 Henry Street, Binghamton, Thursday at 1 p.m. The Very Reverend John R. Martinichio, her Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Chenango Valley Cemetery, Hillcrest. The family will receive friends at Christ Episcopal Church Thursday from 12 noon until 1 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Edith may be made to Project Paw, 127 Bevier Street, Binghamton, N.Y. 13904.
