Greenmun, Eleanor of Binghamton

A grand and loving lady left us today, Thursday, February 25, 2016. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Charles, Sunnyvale, Ca., the youngest of her six adult siblings and also by fifteen nieces and nephews who have many warm memories of this dear soul. Eleanor was house mother for one of the cottages of the Wyoming Homes for Children of Binghamton's south side for many years. She was a school teacher for Binghamton School District for more than twenty years. There were many third graders who were influenced by her teaching and gentle discipline. She could produce a look and a tone of voice that got rapid results. Eleanor was a lifelong member of the Conklin Avenue Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 pm, Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Conklin Avenue First Baptist Church, Conklin and Baldwin Avenues, Binghamton with the Reverend Steve Chastain officiating. Interment will in the spring in Floral Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to services.
