He was an altar boy at the Holy Name of Mary Church during his youth and of late attended the Lawsville Free Methodist Church. He has been a proud member of Laborers Union, Local #7, since 1980. Jack loved his children and grandchildren and spent time teaching them about nature and Indians and regaling them with his many youthful adventures. He lived a simple life, content to work in his stone quarry, his garden, and to help others as he could. His spirit was adventurous and generous and his outgoing personality earned him many lifelong friends. Those who loved him will miss him dearly but we know that he is now content in the arms of his Lord and Saviour.

Dear Dad,
I'm so proud that you were my Dad, and I will miss you everyday of my life. I loved getting your phone calls about things going on or about things comming up, you were so much fun. But most of all I loved to visit you and drive with you to places. I would mention a subject and you would have a story, I would listen for hours to your wonderful stories of your amazing experiences in life. I'll miss you at the Harford Fair , blackberry, raspberry, and blueberry picking, sitting by the creek, rides up to the quarry, hearing you tell of your prayers for all your children, grand children and great grandbaby that you prayed 4or 5 times a night. You were thr kindest person I've ever known. You showed your love to others by sacrifices your own needs for theres. Imiss seeing you and Wendy together, so many smiles and laughs, so much tenderness and love. It took you a long time to settle down, glad I got to see that chunk of coal turn into a diamond. Thanks for playing with us kids when we were young, I have wonderful memories. Glad we made it to the air show up by your Pops house a few years ago, you loved that. I remember you used to take our family up to the airport under where the airplanes would take off. you loved the roar of the engines. I'm glad we brought you a coconut cake for your last birthday, your favorite, and a love seat for Fathers Day so you and Wendy could sit together. your last Monday on this earth i came to take you to the hospital but instead you wanted to sit outside and enjoy hail storm that came up. Then we were looking at the clouds and you pointed to one beautiful white cloud that was surrounded by blue sky then dark clould around the blue. You said "look at that" it was like the light at the end of the tunnel and we heard a crack of thunder that was only 5 seconds away and then exactly 5 days later God brought you back home to him. You were a cat with 199 lives, you've had sooo many close calls! I thought you were going to outlive us all, and I wish you did cause you'll be missed more than you'll ever know. I love you so much. Bet you and Joey are smiling and laughing together again, this time without pain. Praise God. I can't wait to see Jesus,He must be amazing because He created you. Love, Chris

Jack was a sweetheart who would do anything for you that he could and got so much back in the way of love and affection that he was a very rich man. I think of Wendy, of Chrissy, his son John, I think of how he loved all his grandchildren and talked about them all the time... it was beautiful to see.
