Lillian Darling Obituary
Lillian Margaret (Owen) Darling, 94, longtime Deposit, NY resident, passed away March 8, 2013 at James G. Johnston Nursing Home, Town of Union, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl L. Darling, in 1997. She is survived by three sons: Richard Darling (Albany, NY), daughter-in-law: Nancy Jean Darling (Illinois), Ken and Sandy Darling (Rochester, NY), John and Betty Darling (Candor, NY); stater: Dorothea Lovejoy (Alaska); brother-in-law: Robert and Audrey Darling; five granddaughters and three step-grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren. Lillian was very active in the Deposit community. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday March 11, 2013 at the Deposit First United Methodist Church. Friends wishing may call at the Zacharias Funeral Home in Deposit on Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Burial will be in Hale Eddy Cemetery in the spring. Friends wishing may make memorial donations to the Deposit First United Methodist Church or to the Digital Projector Fund of the the Deposit Community Theater.

So sorry to hear of Lillian's passing. I remember Lillian from the Methodist Church. She always had a hello and a smile. One year when we were coming home from Canada, I found a cardnal in the duty free store that I brought home for her since she collected them. I remember how pleased she was. I have fond memories of her and I am sure you all will also.

Dear Ken, Sandy and family: our thoughts are with you today and through this difficult time. We all have fond memories of Lillian especially her wonderful recipes!! Mom was very saddened by yesterday's news but thankful that Lillian's passing was peaceful.
