Paul K. Baumback
of Ballston Spa, N.Y.
Paul K. Baumback, 50, died suddenly on Wednesday, August 7, 2002, following injuries sustained in an accident where he worked, at the Altx Steel in Watervliet. He was born in Troy on June 8, 1952 and was the son of Frederick and Rosa Hagopian Baumback, Troy. He was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1970. Paul has worked for the Altx Corp. for about 3 years and earlier had worked for the former Altech Specialty Steel Corp. for 26 years. He was a past master and member of Apollo-King Solomon Masonic Lodge #13 of the F & AM. He was active as an Umpire with the Ballston Spa Little League for the past 6 years. Prior to moving to Ballston Spa, Paul was an active member of Christ Church, United Methodist in Troy. Survivors in addition to his parents include his beloved wife, Mary Jane Miller Baumback. He was the devoted father of, Vanessa and Grace Baumback, both of Ballston Spa; brother of, Rev. Alan R. Baumback, Pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, Ravena, and his wife, June, and Mrs. Nancy Goddard and her husband, Dr. Bryan Goddard, Vestal, N.Y.; devoted son-in-law of Mrs. Helen Miller, Saratoga Springs and the late William Miller; uncle of, David and Johnathan Goddard, Vestal, N.Y. and Matthew Baumback, Ravena, N.Y. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church in Ballston Lake. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may also call on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m., at the church. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue, Troy, New York 12182.
