RICHARD LEE ANDERSON
of Friendsville, Pa.
Richard Lee Anderson, 71, of Friendsville, Pa., died at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Saturday, July 21, 2001. He was predeceased by a grandson, David Forrest in 1998. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Anderson, Friendsville, Pa.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Michael Dyson, Fairfax Station, Va., Jill Forrest, Endicott, and Gaye and Alan Hoffman, Johnson City; two sons, Richard Anderson, Jr., Salt Lake City, Utah, and Brian Anderson, Binghamton; his grandchildren, Jason, Matthew, Alex, Dean, Ben, Kathryn, and Jacob; one brother and sister-in-law, Arvid and Margaret Anderson, Oxnard, Calif.; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Endwell. He was a graduate of Sunbury High School and Penn State University, also a retired Mechanical Engineer for NYSEG. He was also a member of the Penn State Alumni Association, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the BPO Elks Lodge #2508, Vestal. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m., from Our Savior Lutheran Church, 731 Hooper Rd., Endwell, with the Rev. James Walck, Pastor of his church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main St., Endicott, Tuesday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the Our Savior Lutheran Church Building Fund, 731 Hooper Rd., Endwell, N.Y. 13760.
