Robert A. Strevell, 80, passed away at his home on Thursday, September 22, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Eleanor Strevell; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Joel Monell, Owego, N.Y., Roberta and Daniel Armstrong, Binghamton, N.Y.; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert J. and Diane Strevell, St. Paris, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, Sean, Haley, Jake, Hannah, Heidi, Halley, Grace, Gavin, Garrett, Jesse and Joseph; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Agnes Carter, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Jean and Bill Martline, Washington State, one brother and sister-in-law, John and Jane Strevell, Naperville, Ill.; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Strevell was a member of St. Ambrose Church, Endicott, and was retired from General Electric in Johnson City, N.Y., after 32 years of service. He was also a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Army Air Corps.
There will be no prior visitation. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Ambrose Church, 203 Washington Ave., Endicott. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 31 Adams Ave., Endicott, N.Y. 13760. Arrangements are by the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main St., Endicott.
