Ronald Paradis Obituary

Paradis, Ronald M.

Ronald M. Paradis, 46, of Dunkirk NY, formerly of Endicott, was taken unexpectedly from us on May 2nd, while at work and now lies in the arms of his Lord. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, John and Helen Thayne; his Godmother, Catherine Thayne, and his paternal grandparents, Ronald and Alma Paradis. He is survived by his parents, Phil and Dawn Paradis; his brother, Dave Paradis and his wife, Colleen, and their children, Michael, Derek, Kaitlin and Kyle; his brother, Rick Paradis, and his wife, Diane, and their children, Chelsea, David and Sammy; his sister Mary Lowman, and her daughter, Brittany; his sister, Lori Baker, and her husband, Rich, and their children, Chris, Joe and Zach. Ron is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as his long-time best friend, Danny Sabol, and very good friends, Bill & Vicky Yurko. Ron graduated from Maine-Endwell High School in 1983. He worked for many years at Universal Fence & Supply Co., until his move to Western New York where he worked for Paradis Fence & Flag, until his most recent employment at Scott Electric. Born on September 12th 1964, Ron was an exceptionally loving son, brother, uncle and friend who loved all his nieces and nephews dearly and had a special place in his heart for his Godchildren, Chelsea and Joe. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting Ron liked him, but for those of us lucky enough to have known him most certainly loved him. Ron was a one-of-a-kind, generous, caring and hard-working individual, who had a seemingly endless gift of giving and doing for others. He was also an animal lover who doted on his kitty, "Baby". He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 6th, 2011 at the Allen Memorial Home at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM at St. Ambrose Church, Endicott. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to the St. Ambrose Food Pantry Program, 203 Washington Avenue, Endicott NY 13760 or Disabled American Veterans, National Service Office, 344 West Genesee Street, Syracuse NY 13202.

The Paradis Family,
I'd known Ron since my early days as an Altar Boy At Holy Rosary Church in Maine, N.Y..He was affectionately known as "Hot Dog" by my father.I was saddened to hear of his passing. Ron was a friend who I played little league with, went to school with and enjoyed spending time with. May he rest in peace with those family and friends who have passed before him and forever be remembered by those that are left behind. Ron is in a better place now. When the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance. Someday we will all dance together!

Lori, Mary & Family ~
I was devastated to hear about Ron. It has been many years since we have been in touch, but have so many great memories of being around Ron growing up with Lori. He was such a compassionate and caring man, and loved to have fun and joke around. I remember his smile ~ it seemed like he had a permanent smile on his face. I know Lori thought the world of him too, he was like a brother to me growing up. If we needed a ride somewhere, a place to stay, anything that was asked ~ Ronnie was there to please! So many good times to remember, such a very sweet person. He will be missed for sure by all that knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this very sad time.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Although it has been years since I've seen everyone, I can easily remember the infectious smile and laugh that was Ronnie. I pray the Lord will help you through these dark and painful days and that the knowledge that Ronnie is now with his Heavenly Father, and all of your loved ones who have gone before him, will be comforting to you.

Mr. & Mrs. Paradis and family,

How sad it is to read of Ronnie's passing. Much too soon. Such a kind, warm and caring person. He was a gentle soul. The sadness is overtaken by the memories of ron. Smiling, laughing and all the goofing off we did. From the Pollard Hill Bridge and the Nanticoke Creek to visiting him in Dunkirk, I will remember him always. Smiling & laughing. St. Pete was waiting with a smile, with the gates wide open. I'll catch you on the other side Ronnie, with an ice cold Dew. Love, Bob Coleman

Dear Phil,Dawn and Family,
We are so so sorry and deeply heartbroken to hear of Ron's passing. We loved Ron, he truly was a Wonderful man with a Heart of Gold and a Gentle Soul. Tim and I are extremely Honored to be able to have him be a part of our lives and call him our Friend. We will cherish our memories with Ron. A memory that I would like to share with you that will always make me smile is: when Ron would come over to our house he would always bring our dog streaker a box of coffee nips candy, he knew streaker liked them and he made a friend in streaker too :) We had many good times together, lots of laughs and we will keep him alive within us with those memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
