Carl Lutzenberg Obituary

Carl Andrew Lutzenberg
February 10, 1946 - April 30, 2022
Carl (Andy) Lutzenberg , a Gualala native, passed away on April 30, 2022 with his son Josh by his side, after a six month battle with colon cancer. Carl's parents, Henry and Isabella Lutzenberg, as well as his brother, David Lutzenberg, and sister, Karen Osborne, preceded him in death. He is survived by his son Josh, daughter-in-law Amanda, grandchildren Andrew and Dilyn, and great-granddaughter, Sophia.
Andy grew up in Gualala, often working for his parents at their store, The Surf Super (one of the first grocery stores in Gualala), before graduating from Pt Arena High in 1965. After graduation, he joined the Army and served in the Vietnam War. When he returned from Vietnam, he settled in Santa Rosa, CA, where he lived until 2006. He worked for the City of Santa Rosa for 25 years and retired in 2005. He then moved to Hidden Valley Lake, CA, where he lived until he passed.
Andy enjoyed hiking and photography, and listening to music, especially his favorite singer, Karen Carpenter. He loved spending time with his family and was always excited for family meals and the good times that came with such gatherings.
He is deeply missed, and the world is not the same without him.
