Our beloved David Duane Jensen, 54, of Santa Rosa, California tragically left this earth on July 18 after being treated for sudden but catastrophic pancreatitis.
A native Santa Rosan, Dave was born at Warrack Hospital on March 6, 1970. An avid cyclist, storyteller, and traveler, Dave was most comfortable surrounded by his friends. Dave attended Cardinal Newman High School his Freshman and Sophomore years, but later transferred and graduated from Montgomery High. He went on to attend California State University at Sacramento where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Dave attended law school for a year where he ultimately passed the "baby bar" exam. Over the summer, and after much reflection, he decided that law was not his calling. He did find it with Hewlett Packard. Dave spent 19 years, through a succussion of corporate evolutions, as a dedicated employee of what is now called, Keysight Technologies. In addition, Dave worked for Icore International for approximately 5 years.
Above all Dave treasured the indelible friendships he made with his co-workers, fellow music lovers, golfers, trivia buddies, and scores of people he met while on one of his many world journeys. Dave is survived by his daughter Emma and her mother Tracey Kirk (Australia), parents Duane and Shirley (Santa Rosa), sister Susan (Sacramento), a loving extended family and hundreds of dear friends.
Services will be held at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Santa Rosa on Tuesday, July 30 at 1:00 pm. In memory of Dave's love of golf, a celebration of life will follow at the Bennet Valley Golf Course. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Friends of Trione~Annadel State Park, one of Dave's favorites places to ride his mountain bikes.
