Jack THIEDERMAN

Jack Thiederman passed away peacefully on May 12, at the age of 77, knowing he was deeply loved by his family. He was the beloved husband of Edie Thiederman; the loving father of Kirk Thiederman, Carrie Thiederman, Tracey Parish and son-in-law Kevin Ryan; the adoring grandfather of Cierra Thiederman, Ryan Parish, Kiersey Ryan, and Colson Ryan; the uncle of Ronnie Bronsert, Kevin Bronsert and Lori Damran; the big brother of Diane Thiederman and the late Barbara Damran; and the caring son of the late Merlin and Marie Thiederman. Jack was born in Santa Monica, California and later moved with his family to Santa Rosa. He attended Santa Rosa High School, where he was a star athlete, and became part of a large group of close friends that still gathers together on a regular basis. Jack excelled in sports at Santa Rosa Junior College before joining the U.S. Army and being sent to Germany. He later went on to earn his B.S. degree in Biology from Sonoma State University. He worked as a meat cutter for Safeway for 34 years. Appreciating the great beauty of Sonoma County, Jack lived not only in Santa Rosa, but also in Sebastopol, Forestville and finally Windsor, where he happily lived with his wife Edie and their cat Charlie. Jack Thiederman was a modest, kind, intelligent and loyal man with an ever-present sense of humor and a quiet strength. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed baseball, camping, boating and abalone diving. In addition to the company of his family and friends, as well as taking cruises with his wife, Jack loved nothing more than going fishing. He relished his fishing trips and gladly shared his catch with lucky loved ones. As per Jack's wishes, there will be no formal services. A private gathering will be held to honor and celebrate the life of Jack Thiederman.
