Jeanette Lorraine "Jan" ADAMS obituary

Jeanette ADAMS Obituary

83, of Cottonwood, CA, passed away on April 5, 2013, of natural causes. Born in Santa Rosa, CA on April 3, 1930. Graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 1948. She was married to Ken Adams on January 1, 1964. They were married for 48 years. Quite the character, Jan loved to dance and sing. The family has many fond memories of her singing away at the family reunions, while Ken picked along on his guitar. She always made sure her home was spotless (and yours, too), and she never passed on a box of wine, "the good stuff". She also cherished the moments spent with her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. Jan is survived by her brother Lloyd Papera, her best friend and soul sister, Kathie Chambers, her children Richard Metz, Larry Metz (Sue), Robert Metz, Tim Adams, Ken Adams (Laura), and Lorie Rodrigues (Jimmy), as well as her 15 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Jan and Ken's ashes will be laid to rest together. The service is to be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, on Friday, June 14, at 3:00 p.m. All are welcome to join the service.

Ken and Jan will be sorely missed by us all. Our girls couldn't have asked for better grandparents!

Jan & I used to talk on the phone almost daily when she lived in Cottonwood with Lorie and Jim. I sure miss those phone calls. She was my sister-in-law and my VERY good friend. I'm very certain though, that I'll see both Jan & Ken again when we all get to our final home in Heaven.
