Dear Holley, Bradley and Marion and the rest of the Maassen family,

We have the fondest of memories knowing Kim and your family the last 14yrs in California. We grieve with you and send our heart felt condolences during this very sad time. Our memories include Kim always caring about others and relating so well especially to the kids and those in need. Taylor adored him, always smiling around Kim and probably talking most with him. We'll remember Kim as a strong family man, caring advocate for the developmental services, and a great chef and pool player. We spent many fun family afternoons and evenings together watching basketball, shooting pool, sharing a meal together so enjoying all your company. Kim will be missed and we send love and hope to all the family that will move on without him.

We hope you'll visit us in Costa Rica soon!

Love,
Brad, Lisa, McKenna, Tatum and Gabi Foulger

Marion, Holley, Bradley. I just want to let the 2 of you kids know that your mother & father helped make Cree ct. a better place to live by just being our neighbors. We were the family that lived next door to your parents in the Apple Valley area before you'all moved over off Piner rd. Myself (DJ), Barbara & our children, Little Barbara, John Blair, & our littlest son Erick never knew of your dads work or military career. We only knew of the very happy married couple that were the nicest people anyone could ever meet.
Marion, My heart goes out to you & your children. Stay strong in mind & spirit, Your kids will need it now more than ever.
LOVE,
DJ & ERICK

It has been an honor to have known and worked with Kim for the last 12-years. The reduction in the State of California's budget to the Regional Centers has resulted in decreased services and an increase in mortality and morbidity of the people we serve. Another result is extreme stress not only to the vendors who Kim has hand picked to serve but also the Regional Center staff. The work Kim did was a labor of love and respect for those that are brave enough to fight for the right to go to school, work, use transportation, and live in the community and not a Developmental Center. Kim will be missed not only as a great family man but as a leader in the community fighting for those with physical, cognitive, and behavioral challenges who must deal with a society who can never fully understand what it means to have a developmental disability.

Dear Marion, Holley and Bradley,
My deepest sympathy goes to all of you at this difficult time. Kim loved you all so dearly. He was so proud of his children's accomplishments and shared his stories of you all with us at NBRC. Kim's work has touched thousands of lives in Napa, Sonoma and Solano Counties. His work and legacy will continue to support infants, children and adults with developmental disabilities with the needed resources to assist them in achieving self sufficiency and reliance. His work was important and meaningful. It was an honor to work with a such a committed, intelligent and all around great guy. I will miss our conversations and his insight very much.
Peace to all of you.
