Louis Beary Obituary

BEARY, Louis George - Publicly confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. Lou passed away peacefully on September 12, 2007 at the age of 66. He was married for 19 years to his wife, Kimberley Ann Beary of Penngrove. He was the father of Natalie Beary of Penngrove, Lou Beary, Jr. of Rohnert Park, and the late Cheri Beary. Grandfather. Brother of Alice De Palma of NJ, Louise Beary of PA, David Beary of OH, and Rodney Beary of IL. Son-in-law of Gail and John Moore of Rohnert Park. Survived by sister & brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lou was a man of great stature. He was a recipient of an Air Force Academy appointment and served in the Air Force Reserves. During the 1970's, Lou served as Councilman and Mayor for the City of Rohnert Park. His political aspirations included candidacy for U.S. Congress representing the Libertarian Party. Lou was an enthusiastic supporter of the John Birch Society and the Sonoma County Sons of Liberty. A gifted craftsman, Lou was self-employed as a drywall, plastering, and stucco contractor in our community for 35 years. He enjoyed the physical demands of his work. Other business interests included the development, partnership, and operation of California Greens Family Golf Center in Penngrove, California from 1992 to 2002. Lou was a stout-hearted gentleman. He was generous, quick to laughter, and resolute in his personal convictions. Undaunted by the diagnosis of leukemia 21/2 years ago, Lou continued to live his life to the greatest extent possible. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Penngrove Community Church, 9970 Oak Street, Penngrove, CA. Family assisted by PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY AND CREMATORY, 763-4131.
