Monica Picard of Santa Rosa, passed away peacefully on May 1st, 2024. Monica was born to Soledad Alonso Gil of Madrid, Spain, and Alfred Schuchard II of Atherton, CA on October 10, 1977 in Hermiston, Oregon. She grew up in Pleasant Hill, CA where she attended Ygnacio Valley High School, graduating in 1995.
Monica graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors in Science in Economics and Business Administration from Saint Mary's College in Moraga, California. Shortly after graduation, she started working with AIG as a business analyst, where she continued to work for the next 25 years.
Monica married Jason Picard in 2004. They have two kids, Elle and Jack, who are both currently in high school. Monica was a devout mother to her kids, attending every athletic event, helping with homework, and cooking for them every day. Her kids were the center of her world.
Monica was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Her strong faith was a source of comfort and guidance in her life and contributed to her remarkable display of strength during her 10-year battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Jason; her children, Elle and Jack; and her brother, Alfred Schuchard III.
The memorial service will be held at Santa Rosa Memorial Park, 1900 Franklin Ave, Friday May 24th at 2pm. The Picard family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the team at Anchor Health for their expert and thoughtful care.
In lieu of flowers, Monica requested donations to Ceres Community Project or your favorite charity.
