Nicholas Meyer Obituary

Nicholas Meyer, age 27, died peacefully on July 9, 2011. He was a vibrant, hilarious and compassionate man. Nick was treasured by his parents, Dick and Julie, sisters, Becca, Jess and MaryBeth, and multitudes of family and friends. Nick loved and lived purely, freely and without judgment. A memorial to celebrate his life will be held on August 23rd at Redwood Covenant Church from 6:00-8:00 p.m. All who knew Nick are invited to attend. Donations may be made to: BecomingIndependent.org. Our gratitude to Cooper House Staff for the excellent care he was given always. Nick may you forever fly with Top Gun; now go buzz the tower!

My condolances to you and the girls. I know you will miss seeing him. He was my favorite little boy to babysit. Funny and stubborn and so purely himself.

Dick and Julie - you and the girls are in my thoughts and prayers as you journey through this rough water. I know this is only a temporary seperation, but still not an easy one. What joy Nick brought to so many people over his years with us. May you know His peace at this time.

Hey Mr. Nickerbocker, Bockity Boo! It was always so easy to love Nick...he certainly held the keys to Auntie Neener Neener's heart. This life won't be the same without him, but oh the joy we will have together in heaven! Great is HIS reward!

We don't 'move on' from this loss of Nicholas in our lives. What we will do is 'move through' the ebb and flow of waves of pain. He was my most precious boy and his daddy's best friend. Thank you for all the memories folks, keep them coming, they soothe our soul.

I really admired Nick and his parents. I loved the way he was a valued and appreciated family member, just like the rest of the clan. I learned a lot when Nick first started at Becoming Independent and I will miss hearing about him along the way.

Dear Meyer family,
Brendan and Nick have literally grown up together having shared many programs from preschool, lattice and finally BI. Brendan often talked about Nick especially that Nick liked to watch ER. We are so sorry for your loss, Nick was one of a kind and will be missed by all who knew him.
