Richard Addor Obituary
August 10, 1927 - January 12, 2025
Richard Felix Addor, born August 10th, 1927 has passed away on January 12th, 2025 at the age of 97 years old. He served in the Army in 1946 in Germany until he was honorably discharged. He lived his whole life in Ukiah/Talmage, CA, mostly on Addor Lane in Talmage. He worked for the state hospital and then later he was a Regional Supervisor for the State Forestry until retirement. He always kept busy and had all kinds of projects going on. For several years he was a member of the VFW and he belonged to the Antique Tractor and Truck Club of Mendocino. He had a vineyard with Zinfandel grapes that Manzanita Creek Winery in Healdsburg, CA considered them, "the best in the region".
He is survived by his three children, Rita Klevmyr, Doreen Ballif, and Joe Addor, a brother Benny Addor and his sister Janet Jordan. He is also survived by five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Eversole Mortuary where viewing and services will be held at the Ukiah Cemetery Chapel, 940 Low Gap Rd., Ukiah CA on January 31st, 2025 at 11 a.m. Veterans Ceremony will take place after.
He was respected by many of the people he worked and did business with. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

I worked with Felix and his partner Bob Postal on 2 CDF projects. He rebuilt a cement block generator house at Elk Camp in about a 2 weeks. I also assisted when he and Bob rebuilt the lookout cab at Schoolhouse Lookout. That project lasted a month as we tore off the old cab-the third floor of Schoolhouse lookout and replaced it with a pre-made kit of about 500 pieces from Inter Mountain Camp. Felix amazed me as he had no fear of heights hanging by ropes using his carpentry skills and was a excellent welder as well as he installed a heavy well casing suppprt under a heavy outside metal ladder assembly, welded the catwalk from surplus landing mats and welded pipe guardrails arounds the cab. A funny guy that built everrything to last with his many talents.
