Stephen Simpson Obituary

Stephen "Steve" Crawford Simpson, passed peacefully on July 17, 2018 surrounded by family, after a courageous 13 year battle with cancer. Born on August 19, 1951 in Santa Monica, California. Son to the late Eleanor Simpson and Otis Simpson. He graduated from UC Berkeley. Steve was the loving husband of Shawndra Simpson. He is survived by his stepmother, Dolores Simpson; sons, Stephen (Lauren) Simpson, Michael Simpson, and Karl Nimtz; daughter, Britney Duane; sisters, Sue (Dick) McCallum and Jill (Bob) Raney; grandchildren, Mia and Preston Simpson; nieces, Jamie (Bill) Price, Morgan Price, Katie Raney, and Kelly Raney. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Abby, Dually, and Coco.

Steve loved spending time with his family, maintaining his yard, and skiing in Tahoe. As an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants he never missed a trip to Arizona for Spring Training. Some of his favorite times were traveling to Hawaii, Arizona, and Catalina.
