Barbara Micheal Obituary

BARBARA F. MICHEAL
MURIETTA – Barbara Frances Micheal, 86, died Tuesday January 2, 2018 at her home in Corona Del Mar, California.
Barbara was born July 7, 1931 to Edwin and Vivian Lindberg in Clearwater, Minnesota. She absolutely loved her hometown of Scandia where she was surrounded and deeply loved by grandparents, aunties, uncles, cousins, and brothers. When she was fourteen years old, Barbara's parents decided to move to California, and she was so homesick she cried for the entire two-week journey out west. When she returned to Minnesota for her eightieth birthday, over seventy family members drove a combined total of 2,500 miles to celebrate her. She adored family, and spread her love for them at every turn.
Barbara, or as she liked to call herself, "the original Barbie", married her husband, David, on October 7, 1951. They were blessed with three children, David Jr. (Dina) Micheal, Shawn Micheal, and Colleen (Paul) Wilford.
Barbie enjoyed 30 wonderful years raising children, and providing a home and refuge. When David retired in 1985, the two of them sold it all, went on a three-year tour of America in their new RV, and had a great time of it. They found Temecula,, decided to settle there, and gave back to the community in numerous ways, including forming of Temecula's Veterans War Memorial, and "Path of Honor". She met great people at Calvary Chapel Church in the wine country, and made many new life-long friends there, some of which have been unofficially adopted into "Barbie's family".
Barbie enjoyed crosswords and bird watching. She was very talented in knitting and cross stitch, and loved to make creations for those she loves from framed works to sweaters. One place she was never found in was the kitchen. According to her, cook was a "four-letter word," and she thoughtfully spared others from her cuisine. She was sweet, kind, thoughtful, a friend, mom, and grandma to all. She lived out grace daily.
There are six grandchildren: David III (Lauren) Micheal, Cortney (Christopher) Hubbard, Melinda (Christopher) Cates, Christopher (Heather) Micheal, Cole Wilford, Carly Rae Micheal. She got to enjoy the birth of her first great-grandchild: Skye Micheal. She is also celebrated by her two wonderful brothers: Bruce (Pat) Lindberg, Brian (Marylin) Lindberg, and many, many, many cousins, nephews, and nieces who were all treasured by her.
Barbara loved her Lord Jesus Christ. To honor her love for Him, there will be a Celebration Memorial Service on Saturday, January 27th at 2:00pm. It will be held at Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, 34180 Rancho California Road, Temecula, CA, with Pastor David Hinchey officiating. Everyone is welcome. A graveside service will also be held on Friday, January 26, at 11:30am at Riverside National Cemetery, staging area, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Barbie's love of her churches: https://ccbf.net or http://gracefellowshipchurch.org
