Charles Still Obituary

CHARLES MONROE "CHÉ" STILL, II Was taken from his life September 19, 2008. Ché was born December 9, 1982 in Long Beach, CA. He was the youngest child of Charles and Thelma Still's 5 children. Ché was born long after his siblings were in their teens, so he naturally became "the baby" who went everywhere with his siblings as a little boy. Ché was a member of Church of Christ in Corona, CA and knew he would someday sing with the angels. Ché graduated from Centennial High School in Corona, CA and played wide receiver for the football team and on the basketball all team. He was on his way to a full ride to UTEP but instead decided to stay close to family and attended Santa Rosa Jr. College in Santa Rosa, CA where he played on their football team. As of most recent Ché attended University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama where he was majoring in business and played wide receiver on the football team. Ché was in the process of completing the coursework for his Bachelor of Arts in Business Management. In the short time that Ché was here he worked in various jobs during school which included office manager and personal trainer. Family and friends meant everything in the world to Ché. He would do anything for his family and friends and was truly someone you could count on, rain or shine. In addition to football, Ché enjoyed classic cars "Cadillacs", motocross riding, weight training, tennis shoe shopping, extreme sports and spending time with his favorite girl, Leigh Anne, and his family. Ché was "mama's baby" and his big sisters, "lil brat" and could often be found between his families home visiting his nieces and nephews, making them do push ups. He was a true friend who believe that friends are family and that "Friends Stay United." Ché was preceded in death by his father, Charles Monroe Still on 08/2006. He now leaves to mourn his death: his mother, Thelma "Mama Ché" of Riverside, CA; 2 sisters, Monica Martin of Oceanside, CA, Mia Walker (Hal) of Riverside, CA; 2 brothers, Marlon Martin of Riverside, CA, Carlos Martin (Karen) of Sun City, CA; his grandmother, Ardie Houston of Riverside, CA; his Godmother, Andrea Johnson of Danville, Virginia; adoring girlfriend, Leigh Anne Herrick of Los Angeles, CA; his god father, Kerwin Williams of Alpharetta, Georgia; a whole host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends who loved him more than words can say. Ché's smile and winning personality touched the hearts and lives of everyone he came in contact with and he will be sorely missed. Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 11am at the Church of Christ, 815 S. Sherman Ave., Corona, CA 92882 with burial to follow at Green Acres Memorial Park, 11715 Cedar Ave., Bloomington, CA 92316. Arrangements Entrusted To Green Acres Mortuary 11715 Cedar Ave., Bloomington, CA 92316 (909) 877-2311

The first time I met Che was in 7th grade. He would set personal fitness records, and I would turn around and break every one he set.

Time will not allow me to forget the man & friend that you were to me, it only draws me closer to the day that we meet again...So until that day my friend...

Watch over us all! Charles "Che" Still... FRIENDS FOR EVER!

Che, I only met you a few times but you always had a smile on your face and I've never seen you in a bad mood. I still remember the time you stopped by to visit me in the library when I worked at Centennial High School. It was so sweet of you and you didn't have to do that. I am really good friends w/ your older brother Marlon and am so sorry for all the pain and sorrow that your family is going through right now. You will be missed by all and you touched so many lives in the short amount of time you were with us. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. God Bless.
