One of my high school English teachers who made an impression. Saw me reading a copy of The Big Fisherman by Lloyd C. Douglas and told me she'd known the author. A fond memory.

Today is Christmas and I had heard that a high school friend of mine had passed and I was looking through the obits as I lived in Riverside and graduated from Ramona High School in 1965. Instead I found Genette's notice and send my condolences to Jim and Leslie and the grands. I was childhood friends with Genette's sister, Kaylene, and Genette and Kay's parents were my 'second' parents who helped to raise me until I left Greeley. Genette and I corresponded over recent years and then it stopped several years ago. I had just been thinking about getting back in contact with her in January. Genette, you have been a role model and had a positive impact on your family, students and community. Thank you.

My heartfelt condolances on the passing of your wife, mother, grandmother and friends. I have many fond memories of her as teacher, mentor, and friend. She was always there when I needed a ear or solid advise. The world needs more people like Genette Sizer.
