Gloria,Johnny,Jody,
I'm so sorry for our loss. There are very few people in this world who I consider a "best"friend,Clyde was one of three I have.We were able to say goodbye on the phone a few weeks ago.I'm thankful for that.I will miss him tremendously,as I know you will too.My feelings are with you.

To the family of Joe Britt--I'm so sorry I could not attend the funeral. I thought it would be over by the time I got off of work around 1 p.m., and no one told me otherwise. Then I came to find out that several other drivers attended the burial. I'm embarassed....
Joe was a character. One of my first memories of him was when I was a rookie in '82, and we had to drive the brand new 3000 series GMC busses up to the San Bernardino DMV for licensing. I followed Joe's bus thru the wrong on-ramp for the 215 fwy, and we had to find another way back on. I'll never know if he just blew it or if he was playing a trick on the new driver, but I laugh about it, now...
I'm a musician, and Joe is one of only three RTA folks in the 26 years I've been here, who ever came out to any of my gigs.
Joe was of a kind nature, but his irreverance was refreshing, and I'm sorry for not having become a closer friend....
Joe represents the best of the best, and in my mind, will never be forgotten.
My best wishes to his family.
Sincerely--
Jeff Dick
