Kelli Denise Knapp

KELLI DENISE KNAPP, 54, passed away on May 14, 2016 of natural causes. She was born in Morenci, Arizona on November 10, 1961 to Joe and Mary Jo Romine and spent her formative years in La Mirada, CA, where she attended primary and high school. She was the middle of three children and is survived by her loving father Joe Romine; children Bryn Nicole Knapp, Robert Joseph Knapp, and Meredith Ann Knapp and sister Pamela Elaine Webb and brother Jon William Romine. Kelli Knapp lived a full life. In her younger years she was a cheerleader. She competed in the Los Angeles Marathon. She was always competitive and good at sports. Kelli made a successful career working for American Airlines initially as a flight attendant and then a pilot for a total of 32 years. Her destinations included major capitals of the world. She was respected and appreciated by her colleagues for high professionalism and amazing team spirit. She had numerous friends who admired her spirit, dedication and truly engaging personality. Kelli was always there for them in happy and hard times. Kelli's children learned the best values and loving character from their mother. Her daughter, Bryn, attends University of Western Washington. Son, Robert Joseph, is following her career footsteps by attending University of North Dakota, majoring in Aviation. Meredith is currently in high school in Lynden, WA. Kelli is profoundly missed by her family and friends, and will always be remembered with fondest memories. The memorial service for Kelli Denise Knapp will take place on May 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Preston and Simons Mortuary, 3358 Mission Inn Ave., Riverside, CA 92501.
