Martin Edward Nuevo Layman

NUEVO LAYMAN, MARTIN EDWARD Age 78, of Nuevo, CA, formerly of Mira Loma for 15 years, passed away on 11/6/2006 at home due to lung cancer. Martin was born 3/9/1928 in Custer, MI. He worked as an owner-operator, truck driver, mailman, taxi driver, and bar tender before retiring in 1991. He served as a private in the Air Force where he received the Occupation of Germany Ribbon and the WWII Victory Medal. He was a life-time member of the American Legion, VFW, Moose Lodge, Eagles, and Cootie. Martin is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marjorie Layman; 2 daughters, Sandra Marie of NV & Bonnie of WA: 2 sons, Martin, Jr. of Mira Loma & Gregory Edward of Nuevo: 2 brothers Alex of MI & Louie of OR: sister Francis of MI; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 3 animals. A graveside service will be held at Riverside Nat'l. Cemetery Fri. 11/17 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to VNA Inland County or the American Lung Cancer Society.
