(Murray) DingerPaula Mary (Murray) Dinger, 87, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2018 at her home in Sun City, CA after a brief battle with Parkinson's Disease. She was born on September 3, 1931 in Manchester, England to Joseph and Rose Murray.Paula grew up in Manchester, England, where she met her husband Keith Dinger.Paula married Keith Dinger in 1953 in Manchester, England. They were happily married for 63 years. Paula enjoyed a variety of activities in the different places that they lived while Keith served in the USAF. She played softball and bowled while they lived overseas, was the Director of Merry Moppets Day Care Center in Bellevue, Nebraska and was involved with Toastmasters in California.Upon Keith's retirement from the military, she became a rural carrier for the United States Post Office. She was a clerk at the Homeland Post Office, Postmaster of the Winchester Post Office and finally Postmaster of the Wildomar Post Office.Paula loved entertaining and having her family and friends visit as often as possible. Both Paula and her friend Geraldine Butler would host a dinner every Christmas for the Priest and Nuns of St. James Catholic School & Church. Later she would host an annual Christmas dinner for her friends in Sun City.Upon retiring from the Post Office, she was involved in numerous clubs within Sun City, CA. These included the Photo Club, Swim Club, Travel Club, Players Club (Theatre), the Illinois Club and the local chapter of the Delta Theta Chi Sorority. Paula and Keith also enjoyed taking many cruises together prior to Keith's death.Paula was preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Rose Murray, brother Anthony Murray, twin brother Peter Murray, husband Keith Dinger and daughter Ruth Ann Dinger.Paula is survived by her two daughters, Cathy-Rose Rettig (Michael Rettig) of Pinehurst, NC; Margaret Helen Williams (Andrew Williams) of Panama City, FL; her son, Anthony John Dinger of San Diego, CA; her brother Williams Murray of San Jose, CA; her grandchildren Erin Rettig-McVay, Paul Rettig, Shanon Rettig, Nicole Gerads and Elizabeth Rettig-Fornea; her nine great-grandchildren and her nieces, nephews and other relatives.A Celebration of Her Life Gathering will be held at a date to be determined after the New Year.
