1936 - 2018

RAYMOND CLARK WRIGHT
Age 81, passed away quietly on April 28, 2018. He was born in Fowler, OH on November 2, 1936, and was a lifelong resident of Southern California, residing in Yucaipa, CA for 35 years. Prior to that, Ray was living in, and an active member of, the communities of Riverside and Running Springs, CA.
Upon graduation from high school at Riverside Poly High, Ray began his vocational career in the banking industry. During this time, he earned graduation credits from Southern Methodist University's Banking School in Dallas, TX. He applied his education and training at Security Pacific Bank, and later Bank of America, for 36 years. His hard and diligent work earned him the title of President at the time of his retirement.
Ray participated in a variety of interests and organizations throughout his lifetime. Among these include the Elks, Kiwanis, Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, Running Springs Water District Board Member and the Mountain Communities Little League Board Member. He also served as a member of both the Riverside County and San Bernardino County Sheriff Reserves for many years. One of the joys of his retirement was being a member of the Las Coyotes RV Club. As a lifelong Dodgers baseball fan, Ray could be found on his porch many a summer night listening to the ball game on the radio.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents Merrel and Ruth Wright, and his brother Robert Wright. Survivors include his wife Carolyn; daughter Deborah Ludford (Ted), and sons Mark Wright, Lance Bell and Brent Bell; sisters Ethlyn Jones and Marge McCummins; brother Bud Wright (Ollie); grandchildren: Theo Ludford, Rebecca Ludford, Victoria Ludford, Christopher Wright, Bailey Wright, Kyle Bell, TJ Bell, Bryce Bell, and Casey Hurdle; great grandchildren: Scarlett Wright. Also included are nephews, nieces, cousins and a great number of friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Yucaipa Masonic Hall at 13669 California Street, Yucaipa, CA 92399 on June 10, 2018 at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society.
