William Hoff Obituary

William B. Hoff, was born on February 2, 1952, in Columbia, South Carolina. Son of the late William Senior and Iola Hoff, he attended Eau Claire High School graduating in 1971. He then went on to attend college at the North Carolina A&T State University, where he majored in Electrical Engineering, graduating in 1974 with his bachelor's degree. He then went on to California, working as an engineer for several companies such as Northrup Grumman, General Dynamics, and Hughes Aircraft, now known as Raytheon, where he established his career and went on to work for 30 years, before retiring in 2012. His engineering career spanned 46 years. William is survived by his wife of 38 years, Artress Lorraine, and his five children: sons Stafford, Dorian, Alexson, Deandre, and daughter Michelae, his granddaughters: Afton, Monica, Isabelle and Mya; his sisters Gloria Alexander and Patricia Padgett and her husband Alvin Padgett; his niece Shaylar Padgett; nephews Jason Allen and Vernon Alexander, and many other extended family members. William had many friends whom are considered family and will be missed by them all. William was a wonderful husband to his wife, and extraordinary father to his children, and a loving grandfather to his grandchildren. Brother to his sisters, uncle to his nephews and niece, and son to his parents, William was an exceptional human being to all who knew him, and will forever be loved by those he impacted. He will be dearly missed.

Bill was such a gentleman and a pleasure to be around in high school. Such a class act. I know he will be missed and found in sweet memories in the years to come. My deepest sympathies to the entire family.
