Giunta, Anna, - 100, formerly of Egg Harbor City, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April, 6, 2024 at United Methodist Communities, Collingswood, NJ. Anna grew up in Camden with her parents and siblings. It was there, as a young woman, during WWII, while working for RCA, she met the love of her life, Sam. After getting married, Anna and Sam left Camden and moved to Egg Harbor City. Anna had three wonderful children, Paul, Mary Ann and Sam. Over the years, Anna always worked side by side with her husband. They opened Sam's Parkview Luncheonette and Western Auto hardware store, both in Egg Harbor City. In 1963, they opened Shore Hardware in Somers Point. Aside from being a devoted mother and wife, Anna dedicated her time to serve her community. She was a member of the Rosary Society and PTA at St. Nicholas Parish in Egg Harbor City, volunteered for many years at Shore Memorial Hospital and after raising her family, Anna became a true 'Snow Bird' and spent most of her later years with Sam, traveling between Ft. Myers, FL and Marmora, NJ. Anna lived a long, fulfilling life and was loved by many: her family, friends and members of each community that knew her. Anna is survived by her children: Paul (Alice) Giunta, Mary Ann (Peter) Mazza and Sam (Joyce) Giunta; her grandchildren: Alison (Doug) Dannehower, Paul Giunta, Amy Giunta Rihl (Peter Frisko), Michael Mazza, Mark Mazza, Sam A. Giunta and Gianna (Cody) Rabiger; her great-grandchildren: Hayley (Michael) DeCicco, Arley and Riley Dannehower, Nicholas and Vincent Giunta and Mya and Madyn Rihl. She is predeceased by her husband Sam Giunta, siblings: Dominic Albano, Anthony Albano, Alfred Albano and Josephine (Albano) Murphy.
