BARI SWEENY Obituary

SWEENY, BARI COLLEEN 66 - of Egg Harbor Twp., died Friday in the Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point. Survived by the Rev. Thomas E. Sweeny (husband) sons, Thomas E. Sweeny, Jr. (Jennifer); James M. Sweeny (Jennifer) of Egg Harbor Township, daughter Cori Coane (Fred) of Hamilton Township, four grandchildren, Scott, Tommy, Jillian, Julia Sweeny all of Egg Harbor Township. Sisters, Martha Jannery of Boone, NC, Mary Peters of Langhorne, PA; Brother Hughbert Green (Catherine) of Pendel, PA; Brother Robert Green Dec. (Roberta) of Lake City, FL; Gail Weston (Loyd) Sister in-law of Boyertown, PA; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bari and Tom were married 49 years, Bari loved her family more than anything else in the world. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life, especially taking them to church every Sunday in "Nanny's Bus". She loved her home, especially the enjoyment sitting in front of her fireplace on chilly and cold days. She was an outstanding home maker and loved having her family over to break bread together, barbeque and laugh. Over the years she worked at Egg Harbor Township Davenport School in the Cafeteria. She also worked at First National Bank of Absecon as a teller. She was very active in her church through the years. She loved her church and all who attended having served on St. Hilda's Altar Guild. She was a past member of Daughters of the King. Recently Bari and her husband traveled 13,500 miles in "Nanny's Motor home and Poppy's too (Sometimes)" to the last frontier, Alaska. The trip was a lifelong desire that was accomplished this summer over two and a half months, viewing God's Creation. She was a quiet loving lady. A Mass of Christian celebration will take place 11:00am Saturday, November 14, 2009 at St. Mark And All Saints Episcopal Church, 429 South Pitney Road, Galloway Twp. Friends may call Saturday at the church for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Mark and All Saints Church Columbarium Fund in Bari's name. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to and written condolences may be sent to: www.Adams-Perfect.com.
