CURT AMMON DORSHEIMER

DORSHEIMER, CURT AMMON 50 - of Avalon, died on Thursday, November 25, 2010, at his home in Avalon. He was born in Richmond, VA, the son of Donald W. Dorsheimer and the late Helen Margaret Ammon Dorsheimer. He moved to Avalon from Lancaster County, PA in 1983 and was a well-known and highly-regarded roofing contractor. Curt, a graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy in New York, lived on the water and loved to fish, fish and fish! He also loved boating, hunting, skiing, spending time with his precious daughter Ashley, taking his faithful dogs Bubba and Coco for walks on the beach, and the company of his many devoted friends. Curt, known for living, loving, working, fishing and playing hard, was also known for helping people at the drop of a hat and truly appreciating those who helped him in return. He is survived by his children: Nicholas, Kristen, Danielle and Ashley; his much loved partner in life Sheri Bach, his beloved dog Coco, his father, Donald W. of Gibbstown; a brother, Dan G. of Lewisberry, PA; a sister, Lynn A. Smithson (Pete) of Florida, numerous nieces and nephews and all the dedicated and caring members of his "adopted Avalon family". A private memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at the convenience of the family. For those who desire, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
