Deborah Ellen Mason Flanagan (Deb/Debbie) passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024 at the age of 70.
Deb was born on January 7, 1954 in Somers Point, NJ to parents, Arthur Mason and Dorothy Ford (Baxter) and was also raised by her step-father, Harry Ford. She grew up with three siblings, William Joseph Mason, Marilynn Hug (Mason), and Dottie Ford. She had five children, Charles Flanagan, Anthony Flanagan, Catherine Schober (Flanagan), Danu Breder, and Elizabeth Breder Nealy; as well as three step-children, Robert Breder, John Breder and Jeffrey Breder.
Deb was known for her amazing cooking. She worked as a cook in multiple kitchens in the Atlantic County area over the years, and loved to bring people together with her food. She was a Registered Nurse at Kessler Hospital in the 1980s. Deb went on to dedicate a large part of her life to advocating for people with disabilities and was always trying to help others in any way she could. Her home and heart were always open to friends and family.
Deb is survived by three children, Anthony, Catherine, and Elizabeth. She is also survived by her sister, Dottie Ford; numerous nieces; and grandchildren; and her former husband, Chester Breder.
She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
A service will be held to remember Deb and celebrate her life on October 18, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Avenue, EHC, NJ 08215.
