Mr. and Mrs. J. and family, its been twelve years, and I have watched all of you grow from sad, grieving family members to strong, handsome, beautiful people. In the beginning, you all dealt with Dougs death in your own way, but I have seen a wonderful change that has brought you closer and more conscious of each other. In good times and bad, family may be the only thing we can depend on. The strength that each one of you has shown the world is to be admired. You are resilient, patient, loving, and compassionate people, just the way Doug would want you all to be in his absence. Actually he is still with us. Every time you think of your son, he will be there looking over his family and protecting them as any good son and trooper would.
God bless you all and thinking of yas,

Terri, Christopher, and family...
My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time and always. Doug was a very special person who positively touched all he came into contact with. The memories of his smile, his laughter, his faith, and his guidance will be held dear by his friends and family. He will be there to guide us when it is our time to join him in the Heavenly Kingdom. I feel honored to have known him, and to have had the opportunity to share some enjoyable experiences with him. He will be missed, but we can all feel better knowing that he's "okay".
Love,
cousin Mark

Dear Terri,Chris,Jessica,and Jason,
We are all so very proud of Doug. He was a true warrior in his battle. It was always my honor to make him cookies with just a "few chips", but always lots of love.
Peace be with all of you always.

Jablonski family:
Let us not mourn Doug's untimely passing but celebrate his life. I had the honor and privilege of knowing Doug as a friend and colleague. We worked together on the Turnpike and as a Trooper; Doug exemplified what a good Trooper is all about. He served with honor, courage, and integrity, but, more importantly, he showed true concern and compassion for those he served and those he served with. His kind nature and quick wit brought smiles to many of our faces. Let us all celebrate in knowing that, in life, Doug brought cheer to many of our lives and he is now at peace.

Dear Jessica,
You are in our thoughts, prayers, and hearts, as always. We feel blessed that we had the opportunity to meet your dad at your graduation party this summer. The love and pride that you express for your father was shared by your father for you. May you now, in faith, walk with your Heavenly Father who is with you always.
Love,
Mr. & Mrs. S. and Kory

To know him, was to Love him. He had a heart of gold and a personality to match. He brought joy and happiness to all he met. A song he sang often states " I lived a life that's full and did it My Way" We will all very much miss him. But we know now he is at peace. The Suarez Family

Terri & Family,
Doug was one of the most inspirational recruits in the academy. Worked hard and still smiled later. He was always happy to see fellow classmates and always made a point to chat, especially about the old academy days. He constantly showed concern for us and would ask if there was anything he could do to help. I am proud to have known him and that we were fellow members of the 93rd "A" class.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
