Elizabeth Steger Obituary

STEGER, Elizabeth "Betty", - age 93, died on December 21, 2023, in Cape May, NJ, a town she dearly loved. Betty was born in Philadelphia to Edna and Paul Bennett. She moved to Cape May in 1951, when she married Bob Steger. Betty worked in the family business, Steger Beach Service, for many years. She was also a substitute teacher in the local schools. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Bob, her younger brother Paul, and her oldest grandson Josh. Her loved ones include loving partner Bob Fite; daughter Lindy (Leon); son Steve (Margaret); grandsons Jesse (Andrea), Steven (Holly), Sean; and great-granddaughters Isla and Ada.

A funeral service will be held January 11, 2 p.m. at the Church of the Advent, Cape May. Burial at Old Brick Cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Betty may be made to Cape Hope at www.capehopecares.org (Spilker Funeral Home, Cape May) info and condolences: spilkerfuneralhome.com
