Eric Fletcher Obituary
September 16, 1970 - August 11, 2025
Eric Darnell Fletcher, "Rock", as he was affectionately called, was born to Ruby L. Fletcher and James E. Reed, Jr. in Atlantic City, NJ on September 16, 1970. He grew up in Atlantic City's Inlet and graduated from Atlantic City High School in 1988. He was called home by God on August 11, 2025, from all his suffering with his loving mother, Ruby, right by his side.
Right after completing high school, Eric began working at Mary Elizabeth's Bake Shop in Bally's Park Place Casino. He later worked at Guertie's Donut and Bagel Shop in Bally's Casino. Because of his technical skills, his keen eye for detail and his ability to produce high quality baked goods, he was promoted to Head Baker for Bally's Casino Bake Shop in their Wild West Casino in February 2001. He worked at Bally's for 27 years before going to work at the Borgato Casino Hotel.
Eric was diehard San Fransico 49's fan for life.
He was predeceased by his father, James E. Reed, Jr.; brothers, Dwight L. Fletcher and Christopher "Abdul Malik" Fletcher; grandmother, Louise Harris; and grandfather, Clarence Robinson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Rev. Ruby L. Fletcher; daughters, Jalyssa and Bianca Elliott, and Shayla Carnuccio; son, Nakari Amir Bryant-Fletcher; brother, James E. "Isma'il" Fletcher; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2025, New Shiloh Baptist Church, 701 Atlantic Avenue, Atlantic City, New Jersey, where friends may call from 10 a.m.. Interment to follow in Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville, NJ.
