Ernest Stephen Cavalucci

Cavalucci, Ernest Stephen, - 89, of Egg Harbor City, passed away peacefully at his home of 57 years on Monday, April 26, 2021. He graduated in 1949 from Egg Harbor City High School. Ernie served in the United States Navy in the Pacific Fleet aboard the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany from 1951 thru 1955. Following his honorable discharge, he was employed by NJ Bell Telephone for 36 years before retiring in 1991. Ernie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church since he was confirmed in 1945. He enjoyed reading about history and visiting historical sites. Ernie was married for 53 years to his loving wife, Corrinne until her passing in 2016. He is survived by his sons, James of Barnegat, Steven (June) Cavalucci of Egg Harbor Twp. and Michael Marchese of Princeton. A gathering with covid protocol will take place on Saturday, May 1st from 10am to 10:45am at Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Ave., Egg Harbor City 609-965-0357. Graveside service will immediately follow at Egg Harbor City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church of Egg Harbor City.
