Helen Anne Dougherty

Dougherty, Helen Anne, - 83, of Ocean City, passed away at Shore Medical Center on Monday, September 12, 2022. Born in Philadelphia and raised in Mount Airy, Helen graduated from Little Flower High School (1956) and Gwynedd-Mercy Junior College (1958), She lived in Oreland, Ardsley, and Glenside, PA working for many years as a medical secretary for Surgical Care Specialists before retiring to Ocean City, NJ in 2001. Once retired, she was a parishioner of, and long time Eucharistic Minister for, St. Frances Cabrini Church in Ocean City. Helen is survived by an extended family including her children Michael (Lori), Patrick, Sean, Kelly and Tim (Mary) Breslin: sisters Mary Maciolek, Margie Snyder, Patricia Dillinger, Therese (Frank) Brennan, Jane Dougherty, Julie Carlisle, and Susan Schofield; brother-in-law, Frank Larkins; grandchildren, Coleen, Daniel, Emma, Gabrielle and Garrett Breslin; and great-grandson, Michael Patrick Galle. Helen was predeceased in death by her parents, James and Mary (nee Gibbons) Dougherty, and her sister, Anne Larkins. Her Memorial Mass will be offered Saturday morning, September 17th at 11 o'clock from St. Frances Cabrini RC Church of St. Damien Parish, 2nd Street at Atlantic Avenue, Ocean City, NJ where friends may call from ten o'clock until the time of mass.
