Jacqueline M. Bruno

Bruno, Jacqueline M. (nee Tenaglia), - 77, of Ocean City, beloved wife of Michael J. Bruno and devoted mother of Michael J. Bruno, Jr., passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at her home in Ocean City NJ on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. Born in Philadelphia PA, she graduated with a BA in elementary education from Temple University in 1967, and began her 35-year teaching career in the Philadelphia Public Schools. She subsequently earned an MS in Reading and Learning Disabilities and became a certified Reading Specialist. Retiring in 2002, she spent the last 18 years of her career in the Evesham Township (NJ) schools where her well known innovative style inspired her students to achieve. Jacquie enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra, going to the beach, playing bridge, crocheting, traveling, and watching movies from the 1930s and 1940s. She was a religious person whose interest in the Bible led to being awarded the Camden Biblical Institute 4-Year Certificate in June of 2014 after completing an in-depth 12-semester study of the entire New and Old Testaments. She is survived by her husband, Michael, Sr., her son, Michael, Jr. (Christine), her brother, Thomas Tenaglia (Kathleen), sister, Elizabeth Ermilio, granddaughter, Hannah, and her dearest friend, Maria Sabatino. Family and friends are welcome to a Visitation at the Church of the Resurrection, 200 Tuckahoe Rd., Marmora NJ 08223 on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 10 AM to 10:45 AM. A Mass to follow at 11 AM.
